Get Ahead of Alzheimer's with Angela
If you’ve found yourself worrying about your risk for Alzheimer’s after watching your mother’s devastating decline, I understand. Those thoughts tend to creep in unexpectedly, then get pushed away just as quickly because they’re difficult to sit with for very long.
I know that feeling intimately. Five women in my direct maternal line—my great-grandmother, grandmother, aunt, mother, and cousin—died with Alzheimer’s disease. Because of that history, I understand both the emotional weight of this disease and your desire for a real, research-based strategy for prevention. It is the reason I was certified as a ReCODE practitioner in 2016 and why my holistic functional health practice is focused solely on women who want to prevent Alzheimer’s.
The good news is that the science proves we are not helpless; we know far more today about Alzheimer’s prevention than we did when our mothers needed that information. The problem is that the information is scattered and overwhelming, and people often think it’s just their lifestyle they need to get right. In reality, it can be challenging to build a true personal strategy, especially because there is so much more to prevention than just lifestyle choices.
Because this disease develops many years before the first symptom appears, you have a critical window of opportunity to take research-backed action. I am writing on Substack to share my own labs, lifestyle, and my a decade of experience, alongside some of my clients’ experiences. Leading by example, I take the complex science of brain health and translate it into practical action steps you can take now, long before symptoms ever begin.
My goal is simple: Guide women to take action early enough to calm their fear and change their future.
